Canadian Clay And Glass GalleryThe Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery is dedicated to education and enjoyment of contemporary clay, glass, stained glass and enamel art. Mission
The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery fosters interaction among artworks, artists and community. Vision
The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery is the pride and cultural jewel of the City of Waterloo. The CCGG is recognized nationally for its critically acclaimed exhibitions, lectures, conferences, classes, workshops, tours, and specialized library, archive, and research centre. It is home to an extensive and ever expanding collection of historical and contemporary Canadian ceramic, glass and enamel art which conserves and promotes a rich and active component of our Canadian cultural heritage. A highly desired destination for local citizens and tourists annually, the Gallery's impressive exterior and inviting interior welcomes the young and old to its constantly changing exhibitions of high quality local, national and international artists; its daily demonstrations of artists at work; and its bustling education gallery offering a vast array of classes and workshops, and tours. The Gallery's Gift Shop is regarded as one of the area's most desirable shopping destinations, and provides an opportunity for Canadian artists to display and market their art, while offering the public an opportunity to acquire the finest works by established artists. The Gallery is governed by an enthusiastic, dedicated and knowledgeable group of volunteers and managed by a full complement of excellent staff. The broad base of local support from individuals, corporations and governments makes the Gallery a model for community ownership and stable funding. In this era of rapidly advancing technology, the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery offers a refreshing opportunity to encounter an environment that steps away from mass production and allows us to appreciate creative traditions and production techniques that have remained basically unchanged for over 2000 years. It reminds us of our ancient past, while presenting us with contemporary links to our creative future, and observing the necessity and appreciation of the handmade object 25 Caroline St North Phone: 5197461882 Toll Free: Fax: 5197466396 Email: info@canadianclayandglass.ca Website:www.canadianclayandglass.ca Listed Since:Wednesday, June 14, 2006 Contact Canadian Clay And Glass Gallery
